Business Management is central to consider when applying business intelligence. However, it seems to be missing on Wikipedia – although Wiki includes approx. 60 categories of management. Why is that ?
We should though remember that is an overall term including areas such as HR, R&D, operations, strategy, marketing, financial and IT – which might explain why it is not a specific category by itself. Several universities have also used the term for overall branding of educations, including a lot of various management areas.
It might however, be interesting to use the term for a more specific purpose, i.e. governance and performance of continuous business improvement. This would include areas such as strategy follow-up, planning, project portfolio management, operational management etc. How about that ?
